The Enabling Garden in Altoona has an interactive children's garden area. We visited today with five kids ranging from 2 to 8 years old who all enjoyed it.
We picked up lunch at Hy-Vee next door and ate in the garden, which has a shelter with two picnic tables that's perfect for lunch. There's also a portable restroom near the parking lot. Afterward, we headed to Ironwood Park which is just 1 mile south.
