The Devonian Fossil Gorge in Coralville is a great place for kids to explore. I recommend watching this 3-minute Iowa Outdoors video for more information on the fossil gorge. I also recommend wearing water shoes. I didn't realize how much water would be in the area and wish we would have worn them.
