Mercer Park in Iowa City has a great playground! There were a lot of kids there during our visit, but it's such a large playground that it didn't feel crowded. There's a parking lot and portable restrooms near the playground. My 6 year old boys really enjoyed this playground and I'd recommend checking it out, if you visit Iowa City.
