McIntosh State Woods on the north side of Clear Lake has a beach, playground and a 1.5 mile boardwalk trail. There's a large parking lot near the beach, however it's mostly for boat trailer parking and has very few car spots. Restrooms are near the parking lot.
There's a sign on the walk to the beach that recommends footwear due to zebra mussels.
The playground has a separate toddler play structure and a shelter with a picnic table nearby.
In the photo below, you can see that the playground isn't too far from the beach.
