During our drive home from Minnesota, we stopped in Story City and my boys loved riding the Story City Carousel. It operates from mid May through late October. Rides are $1 per person. Check their Facebook Page for updates.
The carousel is at North Park which has a playground, swimming pool, basketball court, and tennis courts. Across the street at South Park, you'll find a recently restored swinging bridge.
