Des Moines: Brenton Skating Plaza

 

We visited Brenton Skating Plaza for the first time today and it was a great experience.  There were nine of us total, with five kids ranging from 3 to 9 years old.  They had skate rentals in all the sizes we needed and we rented skate aids for the youngest two.  

We skated in the first session, so street parking was available just steps away from the ice.  Restrooms are next to the ice and skates can be worn inside the restrooms.  A few concessions are available, including popcorn and hot chocolate which all the kids enjoyed.
