We attended a preview of the
Des Moines Community Playhouse production of Don't Let the Pigeon Drive the Bus! The Musical! today at the
Franklin Library. The last time the Playhouse came to the library was pre-Covid. Masks were required at today's event and families were asked to stay on the yoga mats which had been spaced throughout the room.
While waiting for the event to start, my boys enjoyed doing the activities in the playbill. The library also had many Mo Willems books available for kids to read while they waited.
The event started with a reading of the book
Don't Let the Pigeon Drive the Bus! which all the kids loved shouting "No!" during. They performed a song from the musical during the event, Panic at the Bus Stop, which my kids are still singing. It was a great event and we plan to attend the next Playhouse preview at the library.
