Ankeny: Summerfest Carnival

 

My boys had a lot of fun at the Ankeny Summerfest carnival today.  The unlimited ride wristbands ended up being a great deal for them.  I'm not sure if the wristbands would be as good for younger or older kids, but they're at a great middle age for a small carnival where they can ride a majority of the rides.

The carnival was in the Ankeny library parking lot, which worked well because restrooms were easily available and the library was a great place to cool off.  We also took a break for lunch, and I liked having all the restaurants in The District to choose from.  We ended up at Hidalgo, which everyone in our group of six people enjoyed.
