Des Moines: Science Center of Iowa

Today was our first visit to the Science Center of Iowa thanks to Iowa Adventure Passes from our library.  My kids love science and were immediately impressed when they saw the periodic table of elements.

The Brick by Brick exhibit totally captured their attention.  They enjoyed playing with Lego blocks and looking at all the amazing Lego creations.

My boys loved practicing being a broadcast meteorologist and it was so funny watching them as they tried figuring out which way to look and which way to point.  Their pale teal shirts made them appear a little ghost-like in front of the green screen, which made it even funnier to watch.

There were many other areas of the museum they enjoyed too, and they're already asking when we can go back again.  It's definitely a great place to take kids.  The only thing I didn't like about our visit today was how crowded it was with campers.
