URBANDALE: Drive-In Movie

The City of Urbandale hosted a drive-in movie at Walnut Creek Regional Park this evening.  The event was free, you just had to pre-register because only 49 car spots were available.  We were the third car to arrive, so we were in the front row, but the truck with the screen hadn't arrived yet so we ended up being off center.

We'd love to attend another drive-in movie, but will definitely park in the second row next time because they had a better view of the screen and could watch from the warmth of their trunks.  Many cars had their heat running because it was so cold outside.

I've been wanting to trying Charlotte's Kitchen in Johnston, so I was excited to see their food truck at the event.  The food was amazing!  The only downside is that it was so cold outside that the food cooled off very quickly.  There was a picnic shelter with restrooms nearby, which would be perfect in warmer weather.
