We attended the Flashlight Candy Cane Hunt at
Miracle on 86th Street in Urbandale tonight. It reminded me of an easter egg hunt, when they sounded an air horn and all the kids took off sprinting. I mistakenly thought it'd be candy canes hanging from trees, but instead it was various candy (tootsie rolls, pixie stix, etc) all over the grass which resulted in many candy canes getting stepped on and broken. While I wouldn't recommend this particular event, we all loved the light displays and I highly recommend visiting Charles Gabus Park at some point this holiday season.
