There's a $5 fee to play games for everyone over age 12, however if you order food or drinks, that gets applied toward the fee. We went during Happy Hour (Wednesday through Friday from 4-6pm) which meant great deals on drinks and appetizers.
Pieces has over 800 games including many children's games and family-friendly games. Their organization system is great and it was very easy to find games that our family enjoyed playing. We'd love to return on a future visit to St. Louis and I really wish Des Moines had a similar place.
