We tried out Food Truck Fridays at Campbell Park in Clive for the first time tonight. It's a very popular event. The parking lot was nearly full when we arrived at 5:00 pm (30 minutes early) and the trucks had long lines. The event takes place on the north side of the park, near the softball fields and smaller playground. The other side of the park, with the larger playground, was much less crowded so we hung out there after we ate.
We ordered items from three different trucks - Hot Off the Presses, The Yellow Wagon and Totally Rolled Ice Cream. Everything we got was really good. The Campbell Park concession stand is cashless, however several of the trucks encouraged paying with cash. We stayed from 5-8 pm and really enjoyed the event.
