Wanatee Park, just outside Cedar Rapids, was the perfect place to stop on our trip from Des Moines to Dubuque today. The park has two playgrounds, and the larger playground is in the campground area. There's also a 4 mile hiking trail, but be aware that the trail is closed annually from October 1 to January 10.
