The beach at
Big Creek State Park is typically a favorite, but the water was pretty murky today and there was lots of seaweed. We like Big Creek because parking is easy, there are two modern restroom buildings near the beach and playground, lots of shaded picnic tables, snacks are available at
Big Creek Marina and today they had the grill open at noon with some great lunch options.
My boys are big fans of bringing tubes to the beach, so I also bring a
battery operated pump which makes inflation and deflation super easy. Today we brought two cheap tubes from Target and an Intex River Run. The Intex tube has a mesh bottom, which makes it hard to navigate but it's super comfortable and great for relaxing at the lake.
