The
Mining Museum in Platteville is not a must-see destination, but it's a fun stop with older kids (ages 8+). The tour guide we had was great and we learned a lot about lead and zinc mining. Admission includes the mine tour, a short mine train ride and the Rollo Jamison Museum. My kiddos found the museum to be boring, but thought the typewriter was pretty cool.
