We tried
Altoona Aquatics Park for the first time today. It's a nice pool, but unfortunately all the slides were closed due to being short-staffed. I've now learned that it's common in August as college students return to school, but I wish the staff would have mentioned it when we paid for admission or at least had a sign to indicate the closures.
Some things I like compared to other pools we've been to are the existence of family changing rooms and the large number of chairs available. We didn't check out the concession stand during our visit today but I was impressed with the amount of shaded seating that was available.
