POLK CITY: Neal Smith Trail & Sports Complex Playground

It was a beautiful morning for a walk on the Neal Smith Trail in Polk City today. There's a parking area and trail access just west of Fareway. From there we walked one mile each way. Shortly after we started our walk, my kids were excited to see many deer very close to the trail.

Then we left the heavily wooded area and crossed through the tunnel under Bridge Rd. At approximately half a mile, there's a playground within steps of the trail at the Polk City Sports Complex. If you go just a little further on the trail, the playground at Leonard Park is also just off the trail.
