WEST DES MOINES: Mini Golf at Putts & Pins

My son is so excited that an indoor mini golf option now exists in the Des Moines area.  Putts & Pins is in a new building next to Jordan Creek Town Center (near the Scheel's parking lot).  Kids are welcome until 9 pm, but mini golf is not recommended for kids 7 and under.

Mini golf is separated into two 9-hole courses.  We enjoyed playing both courses, but if I had to pick one to play I'd go with Course #1 which is near the bowling area.

It's a very unique version of mini golf, where you scan your putter at the beginning of each hole and then try and score the most number of points possible (as opposed to the fewest strokes in traditional mini golf).

We had intended to try duckpin bowling, but didn't realize that the lanes were fully reserved for the day.  Next time, we'll book a lane in advance.

We did not try the restaurant during this visit, but the menu looked good (my picky kid approved of the kid menu options).  There's a pinball area, which my son also really enjoyed.  Games are $1.00 and you need quarters, but there's a change machine available.
