Big Rock Park is a great place to hike within the city of Pella. On the map below, 1 is the parking area and 5 is where the big rock is located along the red trail. The rock stands at over 6 feet tall and is 14 feet underground. We didn't get a chance to see it today because my kiddo was tired after hiking the green trail, but we'll definitely be back.
If you want to hike the red trail toward the big rock, look for the bridge in the photo below and then you'll see a Rock sign pointing you toward the trail. The trails are well marked and easy to follow.
The park has a picnic shelter next to the parking area, but no restrooms.
