Radisson Blu at the Mall of America - Minnesota

We spent the 3-day weekend inside the Mall of America and it was the perfect place to escape subzero temperatures.  We stayed at the Radisson Blu, which is connected to the mall so we didn't have to go outside at all during our 48-hour stay.

PARKING: South Ramp - $24/day
BREAKFAST: Not included
POOL: Very small, no hot tub
ROOMS: Mini fridge, no microwaves

JW Marriot is a newer hotel connected to the north side of the mall, however the room rate was twice the price, so we chose the more affordable option and it worked out great.  I would definitely stay at the Radisson again.  The only thing we didn't like was that the pool was very small and so crowded that we never got a chance to swim.

Breakfast is not included in a stay at the Radisson, so you need to plan ahead.  There's a hotel restaurant on the 2nd floor which serves breakfast, but it's expensive and reservations are strongly recommended.  The mall has very few dining options before the stores open (10 am on Saturdays, 11 am on Sundays).  We found two Starbucks that were open and one Dunkin' Donuts.

The mall has over 60 restaurants, so lunch and dinner are easy to find.  The Radisson connects to the mall on the second level on the south side and there's a third floor food court just above with great options.  We especially enjoyed Opa! of Greece.  For dinner, we tried Bubba Gump which was disappointing.  Cadillac Ranch for lunch the next day however was excellent.
