My son is taking pickleball lessons this week at the new Rally Complex in Ankeny. There are 12 new lighted pickleball courts, open daily from dawn to 10:30 pm. Between each set of four courts are shaded benches, which the parents have appreciated this week as we watch our kids play.
The complex also has a park shelter with two picnic tables, drinking fountains, and seasonal modern restrooms. The softball fields and batting cage are still under construction and are expected to open later this summer.
