Playscape at Chichaqua Bottoms Greenbelt - Maxwell, Iowa

 

Chichaqua Bottoms Greenbelt has a new nature playscape, which includes a mud kitchen, checkers, and hay bales for climbing and jumping.  To get there, navigate to "Chichaqua Bottoms Main Campground" in Google Maps.

The hiking trails total 4.5 miles and are flat, wide, grassy trails.  We hiked 2.6 miles today and had forgotten that the loop on the west side of the park includes walking a long way along the road.  It's not a route we'll take again.  There are restrooms near the playscape in a heated building that is open year-round.
