Swiss Valley Nature Preserve in Dubuque County has a nature center and hiking trails. We didn't have much time to hike because we're on our way to Wisconsin, but we enjoyed our hike on the Ridge Trail. Before arriving, we stopped just down the road at Swiss Valley Park, which has picnic areas and two playgrounds.
