The Ewing Park Lilac Arboretum is beautiful right now and expected to peak over the first two weeks of May. The easiest place to park is the disc golf course parking lot, which is just a short walk to the lilacs and has a portable restroom.
Or you can walk from the parking lot near the Ashley Okland Star Playground but be aware that you'll cross Harry Piper Parkway which is open to one-way traffic through May 25th. My kids love the playground, but it was packed with kids tonight including teenagers having a nerf battle and shooting kids in the face, so we didn't stay long.
